Although Singapore accounts for around 0.11 percent of global carbon emissions, the country is committed to reduce emissions intensity by 36 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030 and stabilise emissions with the aim of peaking around 2030.

At BMAC, we are constantly on the lookout for new ideas and innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

BMAC companies are actively engaging and collaborating on several initiatives to share knowledge and raise awareness of our common goals.

• Exchange of Best Practices
• Share lesson learnt and insides of project implementation efficiencies
• Collaborate on awareness initiative on environmental matters and circular economy
• Engage with Industry leaders and experts to evaluate latest technologies
• Leverage on expertise and experiences gathered in our Sites

Several BMAC companies have already installed solar panels to generate electricity and reduce greenhouse emissions, while others are in the process of installing solar panels or expanding their current capacity. To date, 14,578 square meters of solar panels (2.0 times the size of a soccer field) have been installed, producing 3,256 megawatt hours of electricity per year. This amount of energy is enough to power 729 four-room Housing Board flats.

We are proud of our achievements thus far and fully support the recently announced GREEN PLAN 2030, which will further stimulate the growth of Solar applications in our Biomedical Park.
