Lonza Singapore’s Cell Gene Technologies (CGT) operates multiple purpose-built GMP-qualified production suites for the manufacture of Cell Therapy products designated for clinical trials and commercial use. CGT recently commenced production of adherent multipotent cells using a three-dimensional (3D) system where cells are cultured on microcarriers suspended in media within single-use bioreactors connected to computerized controllers. The expanded cell population is then concentrated, formulated and filled into product vials in the Filling Suite into product vial.
